Map an enrichment's inputs

Tell an enrichment which column to read by tagging a column in its input field.

Written by Umer Ishaq

Most enrichments need information from your table, such as a company domain. You give it by mapping the enrichment's inputs to your columns. Here you map Company profile's input to a column.

Where do I find an enrichment's inputs?

  1. Click Add column, then Add enrichment.

  2. Click an enrichment, for example Company profile.

  3. Look under Column mapping, in the SETUP INPUTS section.

Company profile has one input: Company Website or LinkedIn URL. Its info tip says it accepts a website, a domain, or a LinkedIn company page, and that a personal LinkedIn profile will not work.

How do I know an input is required?

A required input has a red asterisk, and its empty field has a red border. While it is empty, a message at the bottom of the panel tells you what is missing: Select a column for Company Website or LinkedIn URL before running. The Add column and run 5 rows button is grey at that point.

How do I map an input to a column?

  1. Click the input field.

  2. Press /. A list of your table's columns opens.

  3. Each of your own columns shows its first-row value, for example Company Domain shows stripe.com.

  4. Pick the column you want, here Company Domain.

The field now shows a tag for the column, and that column's header in the table turns green.

The Company profile panel with the input Company Website or LinkedIn URL filled with an @Company Domain tag. In the table, the Company Domain column header is green and outlined in red.

The hint under the field reads / or @ to tag a column · Tab to save, so @ works the same as /.

Good to know

  • Always pick a column from the list. If you close the list without picking one, the field keeps the typed / or @ as its value.

  • The suggestion card for Company profile says "from Company Domain", but the input is not filled in for you. Map it yourself.

  • The field's placeholder shows examples: acme.com, linkedin.com/company/acme, or @{domain}.

  • Closing the panel does not add a column. The column is added only when you click the button at the bottom.

  • The footer shows Free for Company profile.
