Start from a template

Open the Templates page, see the starter templates Loopster provides, and turn one of your own tables into a template.

Written by Umer Ishaq

Templates are ready-made tables you can start from.

How do I open the templates?

  1. Go to Home.

  2. Click More, then Use a template.

The Home start cards Find leads and Import data, with the More card clicked and its menu open below it. The menu lists Salesforce Import, Instagram Search, Post Engagements, Meta Ads, Apify Scraper, Luma Event and Use a template. Use a template, the last item, is outlined in red.

The Templates page opens. It has two sections: Loopster Templates and Workspace Templates.

The Loopster Templates section: seven template cards named Learn Loopster, Find LinkedIn Profiles, Research New Signups, Invoice Compliance, Marketing research, Enrich Companies Information and Detailed Lead Discovery, each with a short description and a tag.

Which templates does Loopster provide?

Each card has a short description and a tag. Each card also has a Preview button.

  • Learn Loopster (Starters): a starter project showing types of automated column enrichment.

  • Find LinkedIn Profiles (Sales): upload your existing list and find LinkedIn profile URLs from the data you have, without using Sales Navigator.

  • Research New Signups (Operations): send new signups through a webhook, find LinkedIn profiles and score them.

  • Invoice Compliance (Operations): upload invoices (PDFs, screenshots or scans), read them with an OCR integration, and decide whether each one is compliant with your accounting guidelines.

  • Marketing research (Marketing): scrape a competitor's website for marketing research about the company.

  • Enrich Companies Information (Strategy, Sales): add a company name and get founders, funding and more.

  • Detailed Lead Discovery (GTM): research and verify specific characteristics of your leads, and assign a score.

What does Preview show?

Click Preview on a card to look before you use it. For example, the preview of Find LinkedIn Profiles is titled "Template: Find LinkedIn Profiles". It has a Turn into Table button, a description, and a read-only grid of sample rows. The emails in the sample rows are masked, with stars after the first letter. The last row reads "<--- ADD YOURSELF!".

The preview page titled Template: Find LinkedIn Profiles. A purple Turn into Table button, outlined in red, sits under the title, followed by a line saying to upload your existing list and find LinkedIn profile URLs without using Sales Navigator. Below is a read-only grid with the columns ID, Email (redacted), name, title, organization_name, website_url and LinkedIn Profile. Each row shows a masked email, a job title, a company name and links. The last row has a left arrow with the text ADD YO.

That preview shows no column types, prices, run state or Auto-run information. After you turn a template into a table, check those before you run anything.

How do I make my own template?

When there are no workspace templates yet, Workspace Templates says "Start by turning your table into a template." In a table, open More table options, choose Share, and click Turn into template. The panel says "Turn this table into a template and share with others. (current version of the table will be copied)."

The More table options menu open on a table, listing View: Live, Row height, Dedupe, Dep Graph, Export and Share, and below it the panel Share table via URL or Template. It has a Share table URL button and a Turn into template button, which is outlined in red, each with explanatory text above.

Good to know

  • Templates are listed with the words the app shows. Open Preview on a card to see more before you use it.

  • Check Auto-run and the prices on any paid column before you run a table you started from a template.
